Arts Committee

The BFA Arts Committee works closely with the STEM committee to continue offering exceptional learning opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM).  Our committee extends the opportunities for our students to gain awareness and expertise in a wide variety of visual and performing arts. Specifically, this team supports the following initiatives:

  • Integrate the arts into our curriculum and extra-curricular activities
  • Help our art teachers by recruiting and coordinating parent and community volunteers
  • Increase awareness, involvement and recognition of our arts activities through prolific showcasing to our students, parents, staff and community.

Please join us for our BFA Arts Committee meetings! We typically meet the third Wednesday of each month from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Art Room at BFA, but you can confirm our next meeting or get more information by emailing artscommittee@bfacademy.org.

Would you like to support The Arts at BFA?

Are you interested in painting, photography, creative writing, graphic design, dancing, sculpting, jewelry making, singing, playing an instrument, acting, scene design or any other area of The Arts?

If so, please email us with the area(s) you are interested in at artscommittee@bfacademy.org. We are collecting groups of parents to help with future projects by area of interest.

Don’t worry! You won’t be committing to any specific volunteer activity when you email and indicate your area of interest. Rather, we’ll put you on our email list to let you know when opportunities arise in your area of interest.  For example, if you sign up for the scene design team, we will invite you to help build sets for our musicals. Or if you sign up for the painting team, you may get invited to help mentor students or hang artwork around the building.

The options are almost endless, so let us know your passion! If you want to support The Arts at BFA, but don’t feel a particular interest in one area, please sign up for our general team. Thank you for supporting The Arts at BFA!
