Choir and Band

BFA offers a number of after school Music Programs, including choir, musical theater and band.  Options may vary from Fall to Spring.  Currently, we are offering the following programs:

Fall 2016 : **Choir (Jr and 3-8) will only be offered in the fall this year. We will offer musical theater in the spring.

Mondays: First and Second Grade, Junior Choir Mondays 3:35 to 4:05, cost $35 for semester

  • Students learn the basics of choral singing.
  • Will go caroling around BFA December 16th during school
  • Perform in a concert on December 8th at 6:30pm
  • Start date: September 19th

 

Tuesdays: Fourth Grade and up, Beginning Band (flute, clarinet, sax, trumpet and percussion) Tuesdays 3:30-4, cost $40 for semester

  • Students focus on reading music and learn to play a band instrument of their choice
  • Required material: rented instrument and “Standard of Excellence Book 1”
  • Concert on December 1st at 6:30pm
  • Start date: September 20th

 

Wednesdays: Third Grade and up, Choir Wednesday 3:30 to 4:15, cost $35 for semester

  • Students learn part singing and move advanced choral techniques
  • Serves as a community outreach group that will go caroling around Highlands Ranch, December 9th during school
  • Perform in a concert on December 8th at 6:30pm
  • Start date: September 21st

 

Thursday: Fourth Grade and up, Intermediate Band (already play an instrument) Thursdays 3:30 to 4, cost $40 for semester

  • Students focus on reading music and learn to play a band instrument of their choice
  • Concert on December 1st at 6:30pm
  • Start date: September 22nd
