BFA will host a middle school parent seminar where we will be providing our parent community information on some of the pitfalls of cell phone usage, social media, and technology–all from the law enforcement perspective. Click here to sign up. It will be hosted by Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy Officer Sean Heidman, head of the Youth Education and Safety in Schools (Y.E.S.S.) Program. We are very excited to have Officer Heidman join us and talk to us about this important issue because we have seen firsthand the impacts of cell phones in a middle school environment. We know a lot of parents have questions about how to deal with this issue, and we hope this will provide a great forum for discussion. Please mark your calendars to attend this event which will be held from 6 – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at BFA. it should be very informative.
