Art at BFA

Art is an important part of BFA’s STEAM Curriculum. The focus on the arts, along with science, technology, engineering and math creates a well-rounded student. The visual arts program at BFA encourages student creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication. Elementary students engage in a variety of visual arts in a noncompetitive environment, learn art history and are exposed to inspiring works of art. Middle school kids have the opportunity to continue their visual arts education through a number of electives, such as Painting and Drawing, Community Art, Sculpture and Mixed Media. Students who are interested in furthering their knowledge can sign up to participate in one of our after school programs–Art Club or Painting and Drawing. If you have questions about BFA’s visual arts program, email Mrs. Hinkle, BFA’s art teacher.

The Arts Committee supports BFA’s visual and performing arts by supporting important initiatives such as integrating the arts into curriculum, coordinating volunteers and increasing awareness of the arts at BFA. If you would like to learn more about the Arts Committee or would like to volunteer, visit their web page or email the Committee today.
