Tours for students in grades K-8:
We’d love for you to visit our school! We offer tours throughout the school year. This is your opportunity to see BFA while school is in session and ask any questions you might have.
Check this page in late August for more information about when tours will be offered during the 2020-21 school year.
If Douglas County School District (DCSD) is closed or on a delayed start, there will not be a tour, as BFA follows guidance from DCSD for weather related closures and delays. Details about our weather procedures can be found on our website (click ‘weather procedures’ at the top of the page).
Tours are on Tuesdays and start promptly at 9 a.m. They generally last between 45 minutes to an hour. There is no need to RSVP; however, please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to ensure you have plenty of time to park and check in with our office staff. EVERY adult on the tour must provide a Driver’s License to gain access to the tour. Anyone without a drivers license will not be permitted to tour the school.
Enrollment offers are managed via Douglas County School District’s Open Enrollment system. We cannot accommodate individual tours after offers are made. Please attend a scheduled group tour so that you’re able to make a decision should you receive an offer.
Tours of our preschool program are offered by request as time permits. Please contact Lori Hafner, our preschool director, to schedule a tour or to ask questions about program offerings. The preschool tour schedule is similar to the K-8 schedule, but you must contact the preschool director in advance.
