Date/Time/Place:  Field day will be Wednesday, May 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Redstone Park. The students will leave Ben Franklin around 8:30am and walk to the park with their advisory teacher starting with sixth grade, followed by seventh, then eighth. 

Registration:  Students must register for field day. Students CANNOT participate if they don’t have both registration forms signed by Friday, May 19.

Details of the event:  We have partnered up with TRAINOC again to help design the middle school events. They will have a 25-piece obstacle course and a 10-station field day game competition for 400 students.

1. Students will be placed by their advisory classroom to keep the numbers equal. We will provide wristbands to keep students from roaming around into different groups.
2. When students arrive chaperones will escort them to their assigned event. I will have a map for each parent to keep.
3. The students will bring a lunch with them to eat during field day, and the PTO will provide a snow cone machine.
4. Students will wear athletic shorts with their PTO field day shirt.
5. Have students apply sunscreen on or before leaving the school.
6. Field day will end promptly at 1:00pm and students will walk back to BFA with their teachers.

Students are required to participate, have a good attitude, show effort, and most important have fun! If they cannot follow the rules during this time, they will sit out or even asked to be escorted back to school early.
